Department 12 - Senior Hay & Grains

1. See Exhibitor Rules and Policies, Department 11-24, specifically rule 905, 907, 909, 910 & 911.
2. In the absence of competition, right is reserved to award a premium which the exhibited articles merit.
3. All exhibits must be new crop growth whenever mature by Fair time. Crops not mature may be previous year's growth and must be grown within the Fair's surrounding community.
4. One-quart jars with lids are to be used to show loose grain.
5. Long hay only (an exhibit shall consist of a bale section approx. 8" thick or equivalent amount if cut from hay in mow.

01 ALFALFA OR ALFALFA GRASS, first cutting. Not over 50% of grasses.
02 ALFALFA OR ALFALFA GRASS MIXED, later cuttings. Not over 50% of grasses.
03 OTHER LEGUMES OR LEGUME GRASS MIXTURES. Not over 50% of grasses.
04 GRASS - FIRST CUTTING. Mixture of timothy and/or other grasses and containing not more than 10% legumes.
05 GRASS - SECOND CUTTING. Mixture of timothy and/or other grasses and containing not more than 10% legumes.
06 MIXED HAY - Any mixture not classified in the previous classes, but which contains 50% or more singly or in combination of alfalfa, timothy, clover and grasses.
