1. See Exhibitor Rules and Policies, Department 11-24, specifically rule 905, 907, 909, 910 & 911.
2. Wines entered for competition must be produced under regulations of Part 540 of the Code of Federal Regulations. This competition is open to anyone aged 21 or older.
3. All wines must be produced and bottled by the exhibitor. Wines may be from any year's grapes, grape concentrate, fruit, fruit juice, honey, or other fermentable.
4. All wines must be sealed in a 750 ml, or liter bottle.
54. Bottles entered must be labeled as follows (type or print): year of fermentation; name of wine (if applicable; name(s) of grape(s), fruit(s), honey, or other fermentable.
6. Bottles will be covered not to disclose names of exhibitors.
7. Entries may be mailed to the Fair grounds at the exhibitor's expense; completed entry form must accompany the entries.
8. All entries must be received by 7:00 pm July 20, 2024.
9. Ribbons, premiums, and bottles will not be mailed. Premium checks will be available at Jordan Hall (Sr. Exhibitors), during Fair week on Friday after 8 pm., Saturday, 8 am - 9 pm, and Sunday, - 9 am - 2 pm. (Note: These are NOT exhibit release times.) They can also be picked up at Fair Office until August 31.
10. Exhibitors may enter only 1 entry per section. For example, an exhibitor may enter in white grape, only one bottle in the sections Dry, Semisweet, Sweet, and Blend; he may then enter one bottle in the other classes and their sections.
11. Entries will be professionally judged on flavor, body, smell, finish and overall impression. Rating sheets will be provided to the exhibitor at the close of the fair.
12. Any wine remaining after judging will be discarded.
